BYK-110 Dispersant

Before use, thoroughly stir BYK-110 wetting and dispersing agent. Separation or cloudiness may occur; heat to 30-40°C and stir well. Due to the high acid value of the product, it may catalyze the cross-linking of baking systems. The increase in viscosity during storage of the coating system should be checked.
BYK-110 dispersant achieves pigment deflocculation through steric hindrance. Due to the small size of deflocculated pigment particles, high gloss and enhanced color strength can be obtained. Additionally, transparency and hiding power are improved.
BYK-110 wetting and dispersing agent reduces viscosity, thereby improving flow and allowing higher pigment loading. In electrostatic high-speed rotational coating of inorganic pigment coatings, it can reduce haze.
BYK-110 dispersant is recommended for use in solvent-borne and solvent-free coatings, as well as printing inks, to stabilize inorganic pigments, particularly titanium dioxide. Due to its anionic character, this additive is ideal for acid-catalyzed systems (e.g., coil coatings).
