BYK-163 dispersant contains high molecular weight additives that deflocculate pigments through steric hindrance.
The high molecular weight additives in BYK-163 dispersant provide the same charge to different pigments, thereby preventing potential co-flocculation of pigments with differing charges. Due to the small size of deflocculated pigment particles, coatings can achieve high gloss and improved color fastness. In addition, it enhances the transparency of transparent pigments and the hiding power of opaque pigments. These products reduce viscosity, thereby improving leveling and increasing pigment content.
