Product Introduction
The RY-CGH Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR) sensor is primarily used to measure photosynthetically active radiation within the 400-700nm wavelength range of natural light. It is easy to use and can be directly connected to a digital voltmeter or data logger, making it suitable for all-weather conditions.
This sensor employs a silicon photodetector and an optical filter covering 400-700nm. When exposed to light, it generates a voltage signal proportional to the incident radiation intensity. Its sensitivity is also proportional to the cosine of the incident light angle. Each PAR sensor comes with its own sensitivity value (when outputting raw millivolt voltage), allowing direct calculation of values in units of μ•mol/m2•s.
This sensor is widely used in agricultural meteorology and crop growth research.
