Product Introduction

The RY-CEBN solar radiation sensor is primarily used to measure short-wave solar radiation within the wavelength range of 400-1100nm. It is easy to use, cost-effective, and suitable for continuous all-weather operation. It can be inverted or tilted. This product can also be used to measure the number of sunshine hours. It is widely applied in monitoring solar energy for plant growth, heat conversion, and total evapotranspiration in soil moisture.

Typical Applications: Ecological radiation monitoring in agriculture and forestry, research on solar thermal utilization, tourism environmental protection ecology, agricultural meteorology research, crop growth monitoring, and greenhouse control.

Measurement Principle

The RY-CEBN solar radiation sensor is used to measure short-wave solar radiation. It utilizes a silicon photodetector to generate a voltage output signal proportional to the incident light. To minimize cosine error, a cosine corrector is installed inside the instrument. This radiometer can be directly connected to a digital voltmeter or data logger for measuring radiation intensity. The output unit is W•M⁻².

Output Signals: Raw output; 4-20mA output; RS485 output

Raw Output: Output radiation (W•M⁻²) = Measured output voltage signal value (μV) ÷ Sensitivity coefficient (μV•W⁻¹•M²). Each radiometer is individually calibrated with its own sensitivity coefficient (raw millivolt output).

4-20mA Output: 4-20mA linearly corresponds to 0-2000 W•M⁻².

RS485 Output: MODBUS RTU protocol.
