These additives deflocculate pigments through steric hindrance. Due to the small size of deflocculated pigment particles, high gloss and enhanced color strength are achieved.

Additionally, transparency and hiding power are increased. These products reduce viscosity, thereby improving leveling and allowing higher pigment loading.
