The 2020 edition of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia's Disintegration Limit Test (Draft for Comments) has added inspection methods for orally disintegrating tablet formulations.

I. Performance Characteristics:

1. Utilizes a single-cup, single-basket structure; each instrument is equipped with one disintegration basket for easy observation and determination.

2. Employs specially designed dedicated cups instead of flat-bottom beakers for convenient positioning and fixation.

II. Technical Specifications:

1. The orally disintegrating tablet disintegration basket (hereinafter referred to as the disintegration basket) complies with pharmacopoeial regulations and is made of stainless steel tube material.

2. Tube length: 30mm, inner diameter: 13mm, sieve aperture inner diameter: 710µm

3. Disintegration basket reciprocating frequency: 30 times/minute

5. Water bath temperature control range: (room temperature) ~45℃

6. Temperature control accuracy: <±0.3℃

7. Preset timing range: 1min～900min

8. Time control accuracy: ±0.5min
