Irregular Tree Chipper Maintenance Cycle Guide

The maintenance of irregular tree chippers (primarily drum-type) should be scheduled based on usage frequency and operational intensity. Maintenance intervals are as follows:

1. Daily Maintenance

• Cleaning: Thoroughly clean residual wood chips from the cutter roller and feed inlet after shutdown to prevent corrosion or clogging.
• Lubrication: Check the lubrication status of bearings and chains, and replenish specialized lubricating oil (such as molybdenum disulfide lithium-based grease) every 8-12 hours.
• Safety Inspection: Ensure the protective cover and emergency stop switch function properly.

• 2. Weekly Maintenance

  • Blade Inspection: Check the wear of the fly knives; sharpen or replace them when dull (symmetrical weight difference).
  • Fastener Check: Tighten critical connecting parts such as cutter roller bolts and pulleys.
