Technical Description

1. Working Principle: When the accumulated water exceeds the screen, water flows into the emergency drain pipe, using the impact force of the water to flip the float, activating the drainage state of the device.
2. Installation: For double-deck floating roof tanks, always use the upper limit. For single-deck floating roof tanks, larger capacity tanks, or areas with higher rainfall, use the upper limit; otherwise, use the lower limit. General requirements are as follows: the lower edge of the single-deck floating roof guard should be 250mm above the liquid level inside the tank. For double-deck floating roofs, the height from the top surface of the float to the lower edge of the filter screen is generally 120mm. The installation location can be any unobstructed area on the floating roof.
3. During installation, remove the water seal tank and send it into the tank through the manhole. Insert the drain pipe from the top of the pontoon and place it on the installation bracket, then weld and assemble them together.
 
The design of the emergency drainage device is based on the local maximum rainfall and the load capacity of the floating roof under the condition of complete blockage of the central drain pipe to determine the number of units to be selected. The recommended number of units is as follows:

Maintenance

Regularly inspect the filter screen to prevent clogging that may cause the emergency drainage device to malfunction. After the tank is put into operation (including after each tank cleaning), add no less than 100 liters of water to this device at once. The major maintenance interval for this device is no less than 10 years, which can be synchronized with the tank's major maintenance.
