Detailed Description:
Brown fused alumina is produced by high-temperature smelting in an electric arc furnace using bauxite and coke as main raw materials. Its main chemical components are Al₂O₃ and TiO₂, with small amounts of SiO₂ and Fe₂O₃. It has a microhardness of HV1800-2200 and higher toughness than silicon carbide. Abrasive tools made from it are suitable for grinding metals with high tensile strength, such as various general steels, malleable iron, and hard bronze. It can also be used to manufacture high-grade refractory materials and sandblasting abrasives.Applications of Brown Fused Alumina:
