Additional Information

1. Coatings Industry (accounting for about 50%): Primers/Topcoats specifically for PP substrates

Surface primer for PP plastic parts

Acting as an "adhesion promoter," it solves coating challenges for PP bumpers, instrument panels, and appliance housings. For example:

Automotive Industry: CPP (chlorination degree 28%-32%) is compounded with acrylic resin to produce a primer specifically for PP bumpers. Adhesion reaches 5B (cross-cut test), and remains at 4B after boiling water resistance testing (80℃, 2h), meeting the stringent requirements of automotive coatings;

Home Appliance Industry: Used for primers on PP washing machine inner drums and air conditioner outer casings, improving the durability of topcoats (such as antibacterial coatings) while also taking into account resistance to detergent corrosion.

Metal Anti-corrosion Coatings

High-chlorination CPP (35%-40%) compounded with epoxy resin can enhance the coating's adhesion to galvanized steel sheets and aluminum alloys. Meanwhile, utilizing its salt spray resistance (neutral salt spray test > 500h), it is used for anti-corrosion in containers and steel structures.

2. Ink and Printing Field (accounting for about 25%): Adaptation for PP film printing

Ink vehicle for PP film printing

Virgin PP films (such as BOPP films for food packaging) have low surface energy, and ordinary ink easily flakes off. CPP (chlorination degree 25%-30%) acts as a core component of the ink vehicle, which can:

Improve ink adhesion to PP film (peel strength > 3N/15mm);

Enhance ink rub resistance (rub test > 500 times without color loss);

Meet food packaging requirements (compliant with FDA 21 CFR§177.1520, no migration risk).

Specialty Inks

Used as a film-forming agent in conductive inks and anti-counterfeiting inks to enhance the binding force between the ink and PP/PE substrates, while ensuring functionality (such as the resistance stability of conductive inks).

3. Adhesives and Composite Packaging (accounting for about 15%): Bonding of non-polar substrates

PP/PE Specialty Adhesives

Used for splicing PP sheets and bonding PE pipes. CPP (chlorination degree 30%-35%) acts as a tackifying resin and is compounded with elastomers such as neoprene and SBS. This increases the adhesive strength of the adhesive to PP from <0.5MPa to > 2.0MPa, and provides low-temperature resistance (no debonding at -40℃).

Adhesive Layer for Composite Packaging Films

In BOPP/PE and PP/aluminum foil composite films, CPP serves as the intermediate adhesive layer, solving compatibility issues between different substrates (polar aluminum foil and non-polar PP). The composite strength is > 1.5N/15mm, meeting the retort resistance requirements (121℃, 30min) for food packaging.

4. Other Fields (accounting for about 10%)

Plastic Modifier: Low-chlorination CPP (<20%) is blended with PP to improve impact resistance (notched impact strength increases from 2.5kJ/m2 to 5.0kJ/m2), used for automotive door panels and toy housings;

Paper Coating: Used as a film-forming agent for water-resistant paper coatings to improve water resistance (contact angle > 90°), used for express delivery packaging paper and food-grade greaseproof paper;

Release Agent: High-chlorination CPP (>40%) is dissolved in organic solvents and coated onto mold surfaces to act as a release agent for the injection molding of PP products, improving demolding efficiency by 30%.
