Liquid release agents can be applied to the mold surface with tools such as sprayers or brushes to form an isolation film. Liquid release agents are mainly sprayed. Most of them are packaged in metal spray cans. Die-casting machines use water-based spray release agents. Due to the good sealing performance of metal spray cans, the oxidation of release agents or the mixing of impurities can be avoided, which can ensure the purity of release agents when they leave the factory. Large-scale injection molding equipment is installed indoors, where the ambient temperature changes little, which has no impact on the use of spray release agents.
In the selection of release agents, economic efficiency is an important factor that cannot be ignored. Poor-quality release agents will cause cracked wrinkles on the product surface, affect the appearance of the product and the service life of the mold, and bring environmental pollution. Choosing high-quality spray release agents has a higher price but higher comprehensive economic benefits. To prevent environmental pollution, it is necessary to select release agents that are not easy to burn, have low odor and low toxicity.
In summary, the key points for selecting release agents are:
1. Have heat resistance and will not undergo carbonization and decomposition when heated.
2. Will not affect the secondary processing performance of die-casting products.
3. Have excellent demolding performance. For spray release agents, the surface tension should be between 17 and 23 N/m.
4. Have stable chemical properties and will not undergo chemical reactions with molded products.
