1. Overview of ZX Self-priming Centrifugal Pump

The ZX horizontal clean water self-priming centrifugal pump is a self-priming pump model where the motor is connected to the pump body via a coupling. The main feature of this pump is its self-priming function. There is no need to install a foot valve in the pipeline, and it only needs to ensure that a fixed amount of priming liquid is stored in the pump body before starting work, so as to realize the "one-time priming, lifelong self-priming" function. It has the advantages of compact structure, convenient operation, stable operation, easy maintenance, high efficiency, long service life and so on. The pump body and flow-passing parts can be made of cast iron and stainless steel of various grades, and the motor can be matched with frequency conversion and explosion-proof motors. It is widely used in industrial departments such as petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, machinery, chemical fiber, food, energy, transportation and other urban water supply, and can also be used for agricultural irrigation and drainage and sprinkler irrigation. 2. Structural Principle of ZX Self-priming Centrifugal Pump

The ZX horizontal clean water self-priming centrifugal pump is composed of a suction chamber, a liquid storage chamber, a volute chamber, a liquid return hole, a gas-liquid separation chamber and other components, adopting an axial liquid return structure. After the pump starts normally, the impeller sucks the liquid stored in the suction chamber and the air in the suction pipeline together, and completely mixes them in the impeller. Under the action of centrifugal force, the liquid carrying the gas flows to the outer edge of the volute chamber, forming a white foam belt with a certain thickness and a high-speed rotating liquid ring on the outer edge of the impeller. The gas-liquid mixture enters the gas-liquid separation chamber through the diffuser pipe. At this time, as the flow rate suddenly drops, the lighter gas is separated from the mixed liquid, and the gas continues to rise and discharge through the discharge port of the pump body. The degassed liquid returns to the liquid storage chamber, and enters the impeller again through the return hole, and mixes again with the gas sucked from the suction pipeline inside the impeller. Under the action of the high-speed rotating impeller, it flows to the outer edge of the impeller again. As this process repeats, the air in the suction pipeline keeps decreasing until all the gas is sucked away, completing the self-priming process, and the pump will enter normal operation.

Some pump bearing bodies are not equipped with cooling chambers at the bottom. When the bearing temperature exceeds 70℃ due to bearing heating, cooling liquid can be injected through any cooling liquid pipe joint at the cooling chamber for circulating cooling. The sealing mechanism inside the pump that prevents liquid from leaking from the high-pressure area to the low-pressure area is the front and rear sealing rings. The front sealing ring is installed on the pump body, and the rear sealing ring is installed on the bearing body. When the sealing rings wear out after long-term operation of the pump, which affects the efficiency and self-priming performance of the pump, they should be replaced.
