The ZX horizontal clear water self-priming centrifugal pump is a type of self-priming pump connected to the pump body by a motor through a coupling. Its main feature is the self-priming function; there is no need to install a bottom valve in the pipeline. Before operation, it only needs to ensure that a certain amount of priming liquid is stored in the pump body, so as to realize the "one-time priming, lifelong self-priming" function. It has the advantages of compact structure, convenient operation, stable operation, easy maintenance, high efficiency and long service life. The pump body and flow-passing parts can be made of cast iron and various grades of stainless steel, and the motor can be equipped with frequency conversion and explosion-proof motors. It is widely used in industrial sectors such as petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, machinery, chemical fiber, food, energy, transportation, etc., for urban water supply, and can also be used for agricultural drainage and irrigation and sprinkler irrigation. II. Structure and Principle of ZX Self-priming Centrifugal Pumps

The pump body of the ZX horizontal clear water self-priming centrifugal pump consists of a suction chamber, a liquid storage chamber, a volute chamber, a liquid return hole, a gas-liquid separation chamber, etc., and adopts an axial liquid return structure. After the pump starts normally, the impeller sucks the liquid stored in the suction chamber and the air in the suction pipeline together, and they are fully mixed in the impeller. Under the action of centrifugal force, the liquid carrying gas flows toward the outer edge of the volute chamber, forming a foam belt with a certain thickness and a high-speed rotating liquid ring on the outer edge of the impeller. The gas-liquid mixture enters the gas-liquid separation chamber through the diffusion pipe. At this time, due to the sudden decrease of flow velocity, the lighter gas is separated from the mixed liquid, and the gas continues to rise and discharge through the pump outlet. The degassed liquid returns to the liquid storage chamber, and enters the impeller again through the return hole, mixing with the gas sucked from the suction pipeline inside the impeller. Under the action of the high-speed rotating impeller, it flows toward the outer edge of the impeller again. As this process repeats, the air in the suction pipeline decreases continuously until the air is exhausted, completing the self-priming process, and the pump then operates normally.

Some pumps also have a cooling chamber at the bottom of the bearing body. When the bearing temperature rises above 70°C due to bearing heat, coolant can be injected through any coolant pipe joint at the cooling chamber for circulation cooling. The sealing mechanism inside the pump that prevents liquid leakage from the high-pressure area to the low-pressure area is the front and rear sealing rings. The front sealing ring is installed on the pump body, and the rear sealing ring is installed on the bearing body. When the sealing rings wear after long-term operation of the pump, affecting the pump's efficiency and self-priming performance, they should be replaced.
