Measurement: After the instrument is properly positioned, push both scales toward the rail waist so that the measuring ends of the scales are tightly against the rail waist;4. Off-track removal: After reading, calculating, and recording, pull both measuring scales to the far end, then rotate the instrument off the track in the opposite direction of on-track placement.
