Foreign literature reports that the growth and death of Legionella (naked bacteria) are related to hot water temperature, with 35°C–46°C being the most ideal environment for Legionella reproduction.2、Sterilization PrincipleSilver in a high oxidation state has an extremely high reduction potential, sufficient to generate atomic oxygen in its surrounding space. Atomic oxygen possesses strong oxidizing properties that can eliminate bacteria. Silver ions (Ag+) can strongly adsorb the protease of bacterial bodies and rapidly combine with it, destroying the bacterial protease, preventing respiration, deactivating the bacteria, and leading to bacterial death. After bacteria are killed by silver ions (Ag+), the Ag+ ions are released from the bacterial corpses and come into contact with other colonies, repeating the above process cyclically. This is also the reason for the long-lasting sterilization effect of silver.
