I. Overview of 2CY and KCB Gear Oil Pumps
The 2CY and KCB gear-type oil pumps are horizontal rotary pumps with a flow rate range of 0.045-30 m³/h, a pressure range of 0.7-20 MPa, and an operating speed of 1200-4000 r/min. They are widely used in industries such as petroleum, chemical engineering, shipbuilding, electric power, grain and oil processing, food processing, medical treatment, building materials, and metallurgy. They are suitable for transporting lubricants or heavy oil, diesel, and lubricating oil with a temperature below 180°C and a viscosity of 5-1500 cSt. When equipped with copper gears, they can transport liquids with low ignition points. Stainless steel gear pumps can also be produced for transporting beverages and corrosive liquids.
II. Structure of 2CY and KCB Gear Oil Pumps
The 2CY and KCB gear-type oil pumps mainly consist of components such as a pump body, gears, bearing housing, pressure relief valve, bearings, and sealing devices. They are directly connected to the driving motor via an elastic coupling and installed on a common cast iron base. The pump body, bearing housing, etc., are made of gray cast iron, and the gears are made of carbon steel; they can also be made of copper or stainless steel according to special customer requirements. The bearing housing is equipped with a stuffing box chamber for axial sealing. KCB-300 to 960 type pumps adopt skeleton sealing devices (sealing forms can also be replaced according to customer needs, e.g., mechanical seals), and the bearings are single-row radial ball bearings. KCB-18.3 to 83.3 type pumps are composed of two oil-resistant rubber rings and a spacer ring in between. The sealing degree is adjusted by two nuts on the compression cover, and the bearings are copper-based powder oil-impregnated bearings. In addition, all pumps in this series can use flexible graphite as packing, which has good elasticity, high and low temperature resistance, stable chemical properties, and self-lubricating properties. A pressure relief valve is installed inside the pump. When a fault occurs in the pump or discharge pipeline, or the discharge valve is accidentally closed, generating high pressure and high impact, the pressure relief valve will automatically open to release part or all of the high-pressure liquid back to the low-pressure chamber, thereby protecting the pump and the pipeline.
III. Working Principle of 2CY and KCB Gear Oil Pumps
This type of pump is equipped with a pair of rotating gears inside the pump body, one driving and one driven. Through the meshing of the two gears, the entire working chamber inside the pump is divided into two independent parts: the suction chamber and the discharge chamber. When the pump operates, the driving gear drives the driven gear to rotate. When the gears separate from meshing on the suction side, a partial vacuum is formed, and liquid is sucked in. The sucked liquid fills each tooth groove of the gears and is carried to the discharge side. When the gears enter meshing, the liquid is squeezed out, forming high-pressure liquid that is discharged out of the pump through the pump's discharge port.
