Uses and Characteristics:
GIG250 is a specialized grade of Dike Chemical's glutaraldehyde series products for the medical industry. Unlike other industrial products, it has strict controls on impurity indicators such as methanol and heavy metal content. The product is a colorless transparent oily liquid with a slightly irritating, peculiar odor similar to spoiled fruit; it is easily soluble in water (miscible) and can be mixed with organic solvents such as ethanol. It is mainly used in medical disinfectants, bactericides for animal husbandry and aquaculture, and in the production of photographic films.
