1. Overview of 2CY and KCB Gear Oil Pumps

The 2CY and KCB gear type oil transfer pumps are horizontal rotary pumps, with a flow rate range of 0.045-30m3/h, a pressure range of 0.7-20MPa, and a working speed of 1200-4000r/min. They are widely used in industries such as petroleum, chemical industry, shipbuilding, electric power, grain and oil, food, medical treatment, building materials, metallurgy, etc. They are suitable for transporting lubricants or heavy oil, diesel oil, lubricating oil with a temperature lower than 180°C and a viscosity of 5-1500cst. Equipped with copper gears, they can transport liquids with low ignition point. Stainless steel gear pumps can also be produced for transporting beverages and corrosive liquids.

2. Structure of 2CY and KCB Gear Oil Pumps

The 2CY and KCB gear type oil transfer pumps are mainly composed of pump body, gears, bearing housing, pressure relief valve, bearings and sealing devices and other components. They are directly connected to the drive motor with an elastic coupling and installed on a common cast iron chassis. The pump body, bearing housing and other parts are made of gray cast iron, and the gears are made of carbon steel. They can also be made of copper or stainless steel according to the special needs of users. There is a stuffing box on the bearing housing, which plays the role of axial sealing. The KCB-300~960 type pump adopts a skeleton sealing device (the sealing form can also be replaced according to customer needs, for example: mechanical seal.) The bearing adopts a single-row radial ball bearing. The KCB-18.3~83.3 type pump is composed of two oil-resistant rubber rings and a baffle spacer in the middle. The tightness of the seal is adjusted by adjusting the two nuts on the pressure cover, and the bearing adopts a copper-based powder oil-impregnated bearing. In addition, this series of pumps can all use flexible graphite with good elasticity, high and low temperature resistance, stable chemical properties and self-lubricating performance as packing. A pressure relief valve is installed inside the pump. When the pump or the discharge pipeline fails or the discharge valve is closed by mistake, causing high pressure and high pressure impact, the pressure relief valve will automatically open to remove part or all of the high-pressure liquid back to the low-pressure chamber, thereby protecting the pump and the pipeline.

3. Working Principle of 2CY and KCB Gear Oil Pumps

This type of pump is equipped with a pair of rotating gears in the pump body, one driving and one driven. Relying on the mutual meshing of the two gears, the entire working chamber in the pump is divided into two independent parts: the suction chamber and the discharge chamber. When the pump is running, the driving gear drives the driven gear to rotate. When the teeth are disengaged from the meshing on the suction side, a partial vacuum is formed, and the liquid is sucked in. The sucked liquid fills each tooth space of the gear and is brought to the discharge side. When the gear enters the meshing, the liquid is squeezed out, forming high-pressure liquid and discharged out of the pump through the discharge port of the pump.
