I. Introduction:
The VQ71F manual V-type ball valve is an advanced control valve with a right-angle rotary structure. When used together with a valve positioner, it can achieve proportional regulation; when matched with a 5/2-way solenoid valve and a control box, it can realize on-off control. The V-type ball valve core is designed with a specially shaped V-shaped notch, which has precise flow interception characteristics and control functions, making it suitable for various control occasions. It has the advantages of compact structure, small volume, and can be installed in a horizontal position. It is applicable to the control of gas, liquid, and solid particulate media. Due to the gapless rotation between the valve core and the valve seat, it has strong shear force and self-cleaning performance, and is especially suitable for the control of suspensions containing fibrous substances or tiny solid particles, as well as solid particulate media. Therefore, this product can be widely used in automatic control systems of industrial sectors such as petroleum, chemical industry, paper making, chemical fiber, electric power, metallurgy, pharmaceutical, and environmental protection.
II. Product Features:
(1) The integral valve body without any pipe joints, so it is not affected by pipeline or bolt stress. Moreover, since the valve body has no pipe joints, the pressure-resistant shell will not be affected by "sudden pressure changes";
(2) It has a V-type valve body, which can ensure control accuracy throughout the entire range even under conditions of small flow or high-viscosity media;
(3) The leak-proof and durable valve seat is lined with a PTFE cup-shaped or O-shaped sealing ring with a stainless steel core at its outer diameter. The valve seat is made of tungsten-cobalt hard alloy with a large cross-section, and the structure of the valve seat is further enhanced by an alloy wave spring;
(4) When the valve is closed, a wedge-shaped shearing action occurs between the V-shaped notch and the valve seat, which not only has a self-cleaning function but also prevents the ball core from seizing. It is especially suitable for occasions with unclean media containing fibers, such as high-viscosity fluids, suspensions, and pulp.
III. Installation and Operation Instructions:
1. The pipelines before and after the ball valve are ready. The front and rear pipelines should be coaxial, and the sealing surfaces of the two flanges should be parallel. The pipeline should be able to bear the weight of the ball valve; otherwise, appropriate supports must be provided on the pipeline.
2. Purge the pipelines before and after the valve to remove oil stains, welding slag, and all other impurities in the pipelines.
3. Check the markings of the ball valve to confirm that it is intact. Operate the valve fully open and fully closed several times to verify that it works normally.
4. Remove the protective parts on the connecting flanges at both ends of the ball valve.
5. Inspect the valve bore to remove any possible dirt, then clean the valve bore. Even tiny foreign particles between the valve seat and the ball may damage the sealing surface of the valve seat.
6. Install the valve on the pipeline. Either end of the valve can be installed on the upstream side. A valve driven by a handle can be installed at any position on the pipeline. However, a ball valve with a gearbox or pneumatic actuator should be installed vertically, that is, on a horizontal pipeline, with the driving device located above the pipeline.
7. Install the sealing gasket between the valve flange and the pipeline flange according to the pipeline design requirements.
8. Tighten the bolts on the flanges symmetrically, sequentially, and evenly.
9. Connect the pneumatic pipeline (when a pneumatic actuator is used).
10. Operate the actuator to open and close the ball valve several times; it should be flexible without sticking, confirming that it works normally.
11. Check the sealing performance of the flange joint surface between the pipeline and the ball valve according to the pipeline design requirements.
