I. Main Performance
1. Features
The FT-8700 is a general-purpose shipborne AIS device that can exchange navigation and vessel data information with other ships and shore stations. This device complies with IMO MSC74(69) Appendix 3.A.694, ITU-R M.137-3 and DSC ITU-R M.825, as well as IEC 61993-2 (type test standard) and IEC 60945 (EMC and environmental conditions).
The FT-8700 consists of a transponder unit, display and control unit, VHF and GPS antennas and related accessories. The transponder unit includes one VHF, two TDMA receivers, one 70-channel DSC receiver, one interface, communication processor, built-in GPS receiver and so on.
