Although the ROP-10A oil pump is not used extensively, it plays an indispensable role in the oil pump system. Only with the existence of the ROP-10A oil pump can the oil pump have a complete supply chain. Today, we are going to introduce a commonly used hydraulic component. Based on the customer's usage situation, we will make recommendations to meet their needs. Common oil pumps consist of a motor, pump head, pressure regulating valve, coupling, etc. Assembly can also be done according to customer requirements, with the goal of suiting the customer's production needs. Common models include the ROP-13A Weilun oil pump or the ROP-12A Weilun oil pump, but this is not absolute—everything depends on the customer. If you are interested in oil pumps, you can call us, and we will wholeheartedly provide you with thoughtful and efficient service.
An oil pump is a positive displacement rotary pump. Its core function is to transport oil or increase pressure by relying on the change and movement of the working volume formed between the pump cylinder and the meshing gears. It is widely used in hydraulic systems, lubrication systems, and various oil transportation scenarios. Below is a systematic analysis from aspects such as principle, structure, model selection, and maintenance.
The operation of a gear oil pump is based on the principle of closed volume change. The key processes are as follows:
Oil suction process: The driving gear drives the driven gear to rotate. The gear teeth gradually disengage in the suction chamber, causing the closed working volume to expand from small to large, forming a local vacuum. Oil is sucked in under atmospheric pressure and fills the tooth valleys.
Oil discharge process: The sucked oil is carried to the discharge chamber as the gears rotate. The gear teeth gradually engage here, causing the closed working volume to shrink from large to small. The oil is squeezed to generate pressure and is discharged through the oil outlet.
Isolation function: The meshing line of the two gears reliably separates the suction chamber and the discharge chamber, ensuring that the pump can continuously suck and discharge oil, and realize the conversion of mechanical energy to pressure energy.

Working Principle
The operation of the ROP-10A oil pump is based on the principle of closed volume change.

Application Fields of ROP-10A Oil Pump
Hydraulic Systems: Serves as a power component to provide hydraulic power for machine tools, construction machinery, agricultural machinery, etc.
Lubrication Systems: Provides forced lubrication for large equipment such as steam turbines, generators, and compressors.
Petrochemical Industry: Transports various types of oil products such as crude oil, heavy oil, diesel, and lubricating oil.
Shipbuilding Industry: Used in ship auxiliary machinery systems, steering gear hydraulic systems, and lubricating oil transportation.
Other Fields: Mining machinery, plastic machinery, printing machinery, food industry (stainless steel materials), etc.
Seasonal Maintenance (Adaptation to Temperature Changes)
During seasonal transitions, oil viscosity changes significantly with temperature, so targeted adjustments are required:
Winter Maintenance
Replace low-viscosity antifreeze hydraulic oil (such as L-HM32) to avoid difficulties in oil suction caused by oil solidification at low temperatures;
Add a preheating step: Before starting, use a heater to raise the oil temperature above 15℃ to reduce the pump's starting load.
Summer Maintenance
Replace high-viscosity hydraulic oil (such as L-HM68) to prevent a decrease in oil viscosity at high temperatures, which would lead to reduced volumetric efficiency;
Check whether the cooling system (such as the radiator) is unobstructed, and promptly remove scale and dust to ensure stable oil temperature.
Long-Term Shutdown Maintenance (Over 1 Month)
For long-term shutdown, anti-corrosion and moisture-proof measures must be taken to prevent component rust:
Drain the oil from the pump and pipelines, flush the pump chamber with clean kerosene, and inject a small amount of anti-rust oil after drying;
Cover the pump body and motor with a dust cover to prevent dust and moisture from entering;
Manually turn the pump shaft 1 to 2 times per month to evenly coat the gears and bearings with anti-rust oil and avoid local rust;
Before restarting, drain the anti-rust oil, refill with working oil, and exhaust and run a trial operation according to the pre-start process.
Maintenance and Precautions for ROP-10A Oil Pump
Do not mix different grades and types of oil, as this may cause chemical reactions leading to oil deterioration;
When replacing seals, select materials compatible with the medium (e.g., rubber is suitable for mineral oil, and fluororubber is suitable for corrosive media);
When disassembling and assembling components, use special tools. It is strictly prohibited to strike precision parts such as gears and pump shafts;
After maintenance, record the maintenance time, replaced part models, and operating parameters to form a complete equipment file.
